We’re now proud to introduce a new chapter in our firm’s history with the addition of Dean Ogrin to the name, reflecting the vital role he has played behind the scenes since joining us in 2020. Dean and Dan’s professional relationship spans over 35 years, dating back to 1988 when Dan hired Dean at his first legal job. The name change to McGee, Lerer, Ogrin honors that deep history and Dean’s continued impact on our litigation team. While our name has evolved, our commitment remains the same: no high-volume, impersonal “injury mill” tactics - just trusted, attorney-led representation from start to finish. Our Services That Set Us Apart
- You speak directly to a lawyer the first time you call. You will not have your call bounced around the phones of assistants or paralegals. You talk to us.
- Your questions and concerns are important to us. We begin by asking "What are your concerns?" "What questions can I answer for you?" We will need information from you to determine if we can take your case, but we prefer to begin by addressing your questions and concerns. Once we have answered your questions, we will ask ours.
- We move quickly to resolve your claim. When you call, you won't have to leave a message and wait for hours or days before a lawyer gets back to you. We answer the phone and you speak directly with a lawyer immediately, or very soon after you call. Once you hire our firm, we jump in and move forward with your claim. If you need a doctor's referral, we get you in to see a medical provider the same or the next day, if possible. If your car is totaled, we get you set up with a rental car right away. We know you want your case resolved as quickly as possible, for the maximum amount of money. So do we.
- We are honest and straightforward. We want you to understand the process and we want to be on the same page. We will be straight with you from start to finish. If we don't think you need a lawyer and that you can get just as much money without one, we'll tell you so. If we think that our firm can't add any value to your case, we'll say so. If we think your claim is not worth pursuing or is a long shot, we'll tell you that, too. Of course, if we do think we’re the right fit for your case, we’ll be happy to explain why.
- No fee on diminished value and loss of use recovery. For car, truck, and motorcycle accident clients, we charge no fee on “loss of use” and “diminished value recovery” if the case settles before a lawsuit is filed. Most other firms won't even make diminution in value and loss of use claims for their clients. We demand that insurance companies pay you for these losses.
- We give free second opinions: If you already have an attorney but aren’t sure they are doing the best work for you, take advantage of our free second opinions. We will honestly tell you if we think you should look to hire another law firm (even if that doesn’t mean us), or if your attorney sounds like they are doing a fine job given the circumstances of your case.
- We will reduce our fee when it's the right thing to do. If our client has suffered catastrophic injuries or a family member has died as the result of an accident, and we find out that the at-fault party has an insufficient policy limit, we routinely reduce our fee. Getting the maximum dollar amount in our client's pocket is our highest priority and our firm's guiding philosophy, even if it means less money to our firm. We’re not sure we know any other law firms that do that.
